What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you plug existing SQL into The Nomad Data Stack across the ODS, DIM, DWD and ADS layers. It automates the setup for new tables, data sources and layer configurations by generating the necessary SQL files, migration scripts, and dependency configurations, reducing manual work and potential errors.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Layer-agnostic SQL onboarding: connect your SQL to ODS or any downstream layer (DIM/DWD/ADS) with required sources and dependencies.
  • Migration scaffolding: automatically create migration files and views to bootstrap new tables.
  • Use Case: Add a new source from raw files, wire it into ODS with an ODS SQL file, generate a corresponding migration, then auto-register downstream DIM/DWD/ADS processes.

Quick Start

Provide the target layer (e.g., ODS or DIM) and the target table name with a type suffix (e.g., ods_fund_etf_spot_full) and share your prepared SQL along with any dependencies. Claude will generate the necessary DAGs, migrations, and config templates to integrate it into the stack.
