This skill guides Cosmos users to configure and run dbt Fusion projects within Astronomer Cosmos, ensuring Fusion-based workflows run with local execution.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Fusion constraints: ExecutionMode.LOCAL only; Snowflake or Databricks warehouses.
  • Binary installation: Install and verify the Fusion binary in the Airflow runtime.
  • Configuration & deployment: Provide ProfileConfig, RenderConfig, ExecutionConfig, and ProjectConfig, then assemble a DbtDag or DbtTaskGroup for deployment.

Quick Start

Install the dbt Fusion binary in your Airflow image, verify it is executable, configure ProfileConfig with a Snowflake or Databricks connection, set ExecutionConfig to point to the Fusion binary, and create a DbtDag or DbtTaskGroup to run your Fusion project.
