What problem does it solve?

This skill helps teams automatically manage CODEX_HOME sources and auth/account pools for tmux-workflow workers, enabling balanced load and rotation with optional usage watching.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Source selection: pick a CODEX_HOME source for each worker (balanced or hash-based) and rotate through multiple CODEX_HOME templates.
  • Auth management: select and distribute an authentication file across workers, with support for balanced usage or a team-wide rotation.
  • Operational integration: designed to work with the tmux-workflow engine and cap_config.yaml to control behavior and state persistence.

Quick Start

Use the cap script to pick a source and an auth file for a worker:

  • bash .codex/skills/codex-account-pool/scripts/cap pick --worker <full> --base <base>
  • bash .codex/skills/codex-account-pool/scripts/cap pick-auth --worker <full> --base <base> You can also inspect and advance the current team auth with cap status or cap auth-advance.
