What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps product teams turn abstract ideas and feature concepts into concrete, executable tasks that can be planned and tracked across runs and the latest backlog.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Converts high-level concepts (idea.md, concept_summary.md, features_backlog.md) into actionable tasks tied to IDEA_ID and RUN_ID.
  • Writes structured tasks to docs/forge/ideas/<IDEA_ID>/runs/<RUN_ID>/tasks.md and updates docs/forge/ideas/<IDEA_ID>/latest/tasks.md for visibility.
  • Validates alignment with existing_solution_map.md to ground tasks in the current implementation.
  • Produces artifacts for project planning without writing any code, enabling handoff to development teams.

Quick Start

Run /task-builder <IDEA_ID> to generate concrete tasks for the idea and write them to runs and the latest tasks list.
