What problem does it solve?
This skill provides a unified interface to manage AWS SNS resources—topics, subscriptions, and endpoints—so you can inspect configurations, publish messages, and monitor SMS settings from a chat-driven workflow.
Core Features & Use Cases
- ListTopics and GetTopicAttributes to discover topics and their settings.
- Publish messages to topics or endpoints, including sending targeted SMS where supported.
- Inspect subscriptions and endpoints with ListSubscriptions, ListSubscriptionsByTopic, GetSubscriptionAttributes, and ListEndpointsByPlatformApplication.
- Manage platform applications, endpoints, and attributes via ListPlatformApplications, GetPlatformApplicationAttributes, and GetEndpointAttributes.
- Retrieve SMS-related attributes and sandbox status with GetSMSAttributes and GetSMSSandboxAccountStatus.
- Validate data protection policies and opt-in status with GetDataProtectionPolicy, CheckIfPhoneNumberIsOptedOut, ListPhoneNumbersOptedOut, and ListOriginationNumbers.
- Use cases include fan-out messaging from SNS to other services (SQS, Lambda), SMS notifications, and delivery policy inspection.
