What problem does it solve?

This skill provides a unified interface to manage AWS SNS resources—topics, subscriptions, and endpoints—so you can inspect configurations, publish messages, and monitor SMS settings from a chat-driven workflow.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • ListTopics and GetTopicAttributes to discover topics and their settings.
  • Publish messages to topics or endpoints, including sending targeted SMS where supported.
  • Inspect subscriptions and endpoints with ListSubscriptions, ListSubscriptionsByTopic, GetSubscriptionAttributes, and ListEndpointsByPlatformApplication.
  • Manage platform applications, endpoints, and attributes via ListPlatformApplications, GetPlatformApplicationAttributes, and GetEndpointAttributes.
  • Retrieve SMS-related attributes and sandbox status with GetSMSAttributes and GetSMSSandboxAccountStatus.
  • Validate data protection policies and opt-in status with GetDataProtectionPolicy, CheckIfPhoneNumberIsOptedOut, ListPhoneNumbersOptedOut, and ListOriginationNumbers.
  • Use cases include fan-out messaging from SNS to other services (SQS, Lambda), SMS notifications, and delivery policy inspection.
