What problem does it solve?

Provides fast, script-driven visibility into AWS spend, Bedrock AI usage, and budget status so teams can detect overspend, investigate root causes by service, and act before costs escalate.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Cost summaries: Get total spend for today, the last week, or the current month, with optional per-service breakdowns.
  • Bedrock usage metrics: Query CloudWatch for Bedrock invocation counts and token usage to monitor model consumption.
  • Budget checks and alerts: List budgets, see percent used, and create email-backed monthly budgets to enforce limits.
  • Use Case: A FinOps or DevOps engineer uses these scripts to produce daily cost reports, investigate unexpected spikes by service, and verify whether Bedrock model usage is driving overruns.

Quick Start

Run the check-aws-costs.sh script to report the current month's total spend and optionally break down costs by service.
