What problem does it solve?

New users often struggle to start AWF, leading to confusion and setup delays. This Skill delivers a guided onboarding experience that ensures first-time users complete the essential setup, understand core workflows, and feel confident using AWF.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automated First-Run Onboarding: Activates on the initial /init when no .brain/preferences.json exists, guiding the user through setup.
  • Guided 5-Command Tour: Provides a structured walkthrough of the most important commands and concepts to establish a solid starting point.
  • Local State Persistence: Creates and maintains a .brain folder with preferences.json, session.json, session_log.txt, and brain.json to support returning users and progress tracking.
  • Step-by-Step Initialization: Includes welcome message, quick assessment, and initialization of the user workspace.

Quick Start

To begin onboarding, run /init. If this is the first run, AWF will launch the onboarding flow and guide you through the necessary setup steps, after which you can proceed with standard /init operations.
