What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates the creation of dynamic dashboards by transforming FHIR data into SQL tables, enabling powerful data visualization and analysis.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • SQL on FHIR: Define ViewDefinitions to materialize FHIR resources into SQL tables.
  • Direct SQL Querying: Connect directly to PostgreSQL using Bun.SQL for efficient data retrieval.
  • Chart.js Integration: Render interactive charts using data queried from materialized views.
  • Use Case: Create a patient demographics dashboard by defining a ViewDefinition for the Patient resource, materializing it, and then querying it with SQL to display patient counts by gender and age group using Chart.js.

Quick Start

Define a ViewDefinition for Patient demographics in fhir/definitions/view-definitions/ and run bun run build:init-bundle --upload to materialize it.
