What problem does it solve?

Enable communication between AI coding agents using AI Maestro's messaging system. Agents are identified by their agent ID or alias, with tmux session names as a fallback. Supports both SENDING and RECEIVING messages.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Dual-channel messaging: file-based messages (persistent) and instant tmux notifications.
  • Cross-host messaging: supports remote hosts via hosts.json and agent alias resolution.
  • Inbox/Outbox UI & CLI: check unread, read messages, compose, forward, and search.

Quick Start

Example: Check YOUR inbox: check-aimaestro-messages.sh Read a message: read-aimaestro-message.sh <msg-id> Send a message: send-aimaestro-message.sh frontend-dev "Re: API endpoint" "Implemented the feature." normal response
