What problem does it solve?
Analyzing Adobe Illustrator (.ai) assets to extract actionable design data can be tedious and error-prone. This Skill automates extraction of text content, fonts, color palettes, and generates high-resolution previews, enabling faster design decisions and asset documentation.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Text extraction: Retrieve all text content from all artboards.
- Font & color insights: Identify font families/sizes and compile a color palette with usage counts.
- High-resolution previews: Generate 300 DPI PNG previews for each artboard.
- Metadata & handoff data: Collect artboard dimensions, counts, and basic metadata for design handoffs.
Quick Start
Run the AI file analyzer on an AI file: python scripts/analyze_ai_file.py "path/to/your/file.ai" --output-dir ./ai_analysis Outputs: analysis_report.md, analysis_data.json, and previews in the output directory's previews/ subfolder.
