What problem does it solve?

This Skill addresses the broken, unilateral nature of current online consent mechanisms, which often lead to a "take-it-or-leave-it" scenario and deceptive user experiences. It aims to establish a system where consent is a negotiated, bilateral agreement.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • IEEE 7012 (MyTerms) Integration: Enables users to propose their own machine-readable consent terms to websites.
  • Customer Commons Framework: Supports a library of standardized, user-centric consent terms.
  • Swordsman Agent Enforcement: The browser agent automatically enforces user-defined consent terms, negotiates when necessary, and logs consent as Verifiable Credentials (VRCs).
  • Cookie Sovereignty: Empowers users to control cookie usage based on their explicit terms, rather than website defaults.
  • Use Case: A user visits a new website. Their Swordsman agent automatically presents their MyTerms (e.g., "Do not sell my data"). The website's system accepts, and the user's data is protected according to their terms without further interaction. If the site rejects, the agent can negotiate or block access.
